Review: When you are competing for a part in a kiddie-dominated checkout and your competitors have several sequels / prequels to the famous (and popular figures), has a nickname so suggestive that Epic is an great way to increase brand awareness. The downside is that once the expectations level is quite high, and nothing less, erm, epic, looks like a missed opportunity. Beautifully designed and packed with action, this film from the makers of Ice Age series has impressive graphics and intriguing scenes? ultimately create a small forest world that is infinitely inventive and always fun to watch? still struggling to make an impact where it really matters: the story. This environmentally focused narrative is sometimes too morally powerful and has an obvious cop outs to complete their various parts of the plot, while the largest group of players is unoriginal and too crow , r depends on the stereotypical characteristics. The voice cast? including Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler and Beyonce Knowles? are all good with no memory, with Christoph Waltzs irreprehensible villain and Aziz Ansari and Chris ODowds crowd pleasing fun snail / slug combo turns out to be stars. Epic is a solid family film and has sufficient asked visits to the movies during school holidays, but unfortunately it did not live up to its title.
